Prepare

Choose your category: Mobile or Professional.
Submit your photo in JPG/JPEG format.

Submit

Fill out the form and upload your photo(s). Include:
· Your Name  · Category
· Photo Caption  · Theyyam Name
· Temple / Kavu  · Date Captured One entry per person.

Guidelines & Rules

01 Choose the Right Category
Mobile: Smartphone or tablet only.
Professional: SLR, DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
Your EXIF data will be checked. Wrong category = disqualification.
02 Use JPG / JPEG
Submit your photograph as JPG/JPEG.
sRGB is recommended.
No watermarks, signatures, borders or text.
03 Name Your File
Any filename is fine — you can keep the original name or use a descriptive one like:
YourName_TheyyamName
Either works — just make sure it's a JPEG file.
04 Add a Caption
Every entry must mention:
· Theyyam deity
· Temple / Kavu
· Date of capture Keep the EXIF data intact.
05 Edit Naturally
Allowed: Colour, exposure, contrast, sharpening and minor cropping.
Not allowed: Adding/removing objects, changing backgrounds, heavy compositing or any AI editing.
06 Submit Your Own Work
Only photographs you personally captured.
One person = one account. No duplicate entries across categories.
You keep full copyright of your photograph.
07 Photograph Theyyam
Your photograph must feature Theyyam — its ritual, costume, performer, fire or sacred space.
Entries are judged on composition, authenticity, emotion and story.
By entering, you allow the organisers to use your photograph for contest promotion, winner announcements and exhibitions, with proper credit.

Note: You do not need to submit RAW files when entering. Only shortlisted participants will be contacted and asked to provide their original files for authenticity verification.

Before submitting, make sure you have read and understood the submission rules — including file format, naming convention, caption requirements, and editing restrictions. Entries that do not follow the rules will be disqualified without notice.
